Thanks Dick, lots of stuff there, but the one's i'm looking for were mainly modern ones. My feeling is that it was Wickopedia. There must have been 100s of logos there. But I think it has been deleted.

Great posters, Rich! Love that Billie Holiday! Our band's vocalist does a spot-on imitation of Miss H.......

found this picof a stateline sign and marker on a bridge . one wayof sugesting that your layout crosses two states or countries if it is a bridge line.

I stumbled into this page that has "Pub Signs" for sale. Some of the pictures are pretty good and have links to larger images.

Chris, from KingMill Enterprises, posted this link elsewhere on the forum. A great collection of CocaCola ads.

Hi All,
The short story behind this "billboard".
I was at the Cracker Barrel for breakfast this past Saturday morning, and on the way out, they were selling these Hershey's chocolate bars for only $1. And they had this neat, old-fashioned-looking wrapper. So I grabbed one... and thought to myself, this picture would make a great billboard on my RR layout.

So I CAREFULLY ate the chocolate bar (), with much care in preserving the wrapper... scanned it into the computer... and here it is.

If anybody is able to clean up this image at all and repost.. feel free. ie, eliminate the "net wt 3.5oz" text. There are a few wrinkles too, but those may actually add a little character to a billboard.

Enjoy,
--steve
