Mike
Thanks for the terrific signs. Airplanes share a special part of my heart ( I hold a commercial pilots license )and tend to have a few aeronautical signs plasted on my structure walls.

Great signs everyone! A treasure trove!

Try this site. Lots of illustrations from old ads, but some good for billborads and signs too. I found a nice 1958 Olds ad for a billboard yesterday.

Paul great LINK. I got a lot of stuff to make billboards for the car dealers in the towns on my layout.

Angela,
Maybe try this:
right click on the image, and instead of "copy", try "save picture as" and then save it with a new name on your drive.

This usually works for me when the "paste" function doesn't work.
Chuck D.
or are you trying to post a picture, not download? sorry if I misunderstood.

Angela, if Chuck's method doesn't work, here is a link to a tutorial on how to upload photos and graphic files to the forum and include them in your postings.

Please excuse my ignorance but I have been saving these pictures of signs and when I tried to open them to use/adjust the size of one I can't open it. The file is either a .art or .bmp format. Is there a way to save these as .jpg format so I can "play with them"? What am I doing wrong?
Also I'll read the tutorial on uploading photos to a link. Thanks.
Angela.

Thankyou

Dave I was going to post the sheet of signs and posters to the thread. But I have found that for some reason because I scanned them into the computer the file will not upload to Railroad-line. I do not at this time know why it wont work. The properties are the same has the pictures and other signs I have up loaded. They are jpg's. If you have a fast connection I can send them to you. They are about 1.2m files.

Mike was able to send me the files. The file name on one had punctuation in it, which the forum chokes on, not sure if size prevented the other from uploading. Here they are a little reduced. If anybody wants the full sized files contact me off line and I would be happy to pass them along.

BTW, one file originally had the name 1950s, but is clearly 20s and earlier

Here are a couple more. I will have to reduce the size of some that I have before I can post them.
