Well, I hope you do not mind me starting this thread. Here is a preliminary drawing of what I think the structure looks like, What do you think?

Elliot,
It looks like you have captured the essence of the building. Are you planning on scratchbuilding it?

Hi Elliott
Good luck scratch building this structure.
I want at some point to do the same.
I have saved to my hard drive every picture Bruce posted of the very unique structure.
I look forward to your effort and hope you will post pictures and a description of your work.

This is a great looking building. I think you will have fun building it & have a unique structure to boot. I look forward to your posts.

That will be a very interesting structure to model. Your plan looks good and I like the name you have chosen Elliott.

OK! So, here is a mock-up of the structure. There are some interesting things I learned about the thing by doing this. One is that the little angle wall throws everything cockeyed. Some modifications on the dimensions were necessary as a result. I also think I will enlarge the skylight for another. Well, here goes. . .

Elliott , I think you've done a great job of capturing the essence of that building in your mock-up .Things are coming along nicely ,I'm sure you'd agree .Everything looks like it fits perfectly .

Pretty interesting looking mockup, Elliott. When I first looked at Bruce's photo, I thought the wall with the "for sale or lease" sign is actually parallel to the additions and the wall with the windows and door are at an angle. But, I can't really be sure. Either way, it's a pretty interesting structure, especially that odd roof.

Actually I thought they both were at an angle, but is hard to tell from the photo.

Elliott, I think you are doing a great job on your structure from just a photo. It looks like it will be a great structure.

Bruce sent me the following which I found very helpful.
On the real building, I think that what you are showing as the skylite, is really a peaked roof whose ridge line goes all the way forward to tie into the roof of the portion of the building that runs perpendicular to it. That peaked roof then flattens out to almost a flat roof as it approaches the two outer walls. (If this makes sense.) If you wanted to model it that way, all you would need to to is enlarge that skylite structure about 3 times and have it extend all the way back to the other roof. (It has quite a sway in it too.)

I have modified the structure drasticly and here are the results. Your continued feedback and support are very much appreciated!!!

Elliot,

I just sent you an e-mail that contains a picture that I don't think was posted on the fourm. It still doesn't show that roof line, however.

I think that the building outline is quite close!

I am beginning to think that the funny roof thingie is really a sagging awning on the back side of the building. Hard to imagine any other functional application that I can see. Bruce, thank you sooooo much for your assistance,

It also could be for another building behind this one, that's what I thought it was. I think your mockup is probably very close to the real thing.

I have abandoned the use of cardboard, just too hard to get square and rigid. Here is an all new mock-up of the building using the additional photos and feedback from the group.. Let me know what you think of these, please

36 pane window for the cockeyed building. I don't think anything is a standard size on this thing

Elliot, I'm wondering how you will actually make the building "warp"
with the solid wood carcass you've built I don't think you can just
add water to make it twist and bend, right or wrong? I'm asking out of
curiosity not to be a wise guy. Pat
