Brisket sounds really good!!

Weather in South Jersey cloudy/56. Later cloudy/rainy/windy or all of the tree at the same time 64!

Hopefully some time on the Mill later this afternoon.

Everyone have a wonderful day!!

Good morning or evening wherever in the world you are.

Coffee, hot water for tea and a variety of cold sodas are ready to go.

Partly sunny, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 55.

Mike, hope the tree removal was easy.

Larry, Jerry and Tom, had a great time with my friends and the brisket was delicious.

I was supposed to go back to work today but got bumped again.
I'll head into work later this morning and see who I'm going to bump.
No plans yet since being home wasn't planned.

Have a great day everyone.

Greetings,

Rick thanks for the coffee. When you get bumped do you loose a days pay? That would suck! Good luck on your bump.

To the rest of the Crew enjoy your day.

It's 34 this morning in New York with a high of 43. Got a trace of that "white crap" last night; it just doesn't want to go away. March is a "fickle fellow" weather wise. Going to take the wife for a routine Doc visit then dinner out later. There is a "sandwich shop" in town that makes the best Reuben with homemade potato chips...yum yum. Don't know what the rest of the day will bring.

Everyone have a great day. Stay safe and healthy.

Good morning folks,

Rick, thanks for coffee. Good luck at the salt mine.

Larry, you are still having the nasty stuff fall? Yikes. Hope you enjoy dinner. Reubens are my favorite sandwiches.

Karl, hopefully the ice will melt today.

78F and sunny here. I'll continue to work outside. I didn't finish the tree hauling, so will go at it again today.

Have fun,
mike

Good morning from So. Central Wisconsin where it is mostly sunny. I know when I took the garbage bin out to the road it was as Karl wrote, brrr... The winds are howling though.

Rueben sandwiches are right next to ham sandwiches in my book. The best one I had was at a casino in Nekossa, Wi. For about 5 years I would have one every week until they changed management. I canít find a better then good here in the Madison area but hopefully soon I can start the search again. But, my own ham sandwiches are awesome.

Rick, how long to retirement, that bump stuff would drive me nuts.

Enjoy the day
TomO

Good morning or evening wherever in the world you are.

Coffee, hot water for tea and a variety of cold sodas are ready to go.

Sunny with a high of 65.

Jerry, I'll still be on days.

Tom, aiming for July of next year to pull the plug.

Mike, enjoy your outside time.

Larry, when I don't work I don't get paid.

Karl must me running low on his allotment of pixels for the month.

I'm going to step out of my comfort zone at work and take a rear brake drive.
I'll have more to do and drive a couple of miles more but the weekend trains should be easier and only do one round trip weekdays instead of two.
Also my days off will now be Tuesday and Wednesday.
Bike ride first then grocery shopping.
Worked a tiny bit more on the mini layout yesterday doing scenery.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning,

Rick, thanks for coffee. The new schedule doesn't sound too bad. Happy weekend.

Cloudy and 85F today. No rain.

Normally, I work at lodge on Tuesdays, but plan to swap for Thursday this week. Maybe work in the shop a bit.

Have fun,
mike

47 degrees and sun this morning just past 0800.

My head is infused with

Took the Doll to get a small table and dresser to take up to,the UP house. She didnít take sufficient cash so we had to drive to a nearby gas station with an ATM. She got out and walked over to ithis shiny stainless steel machine with Visa and Master card, logos all over it as I walked inside the station and picked up a coffee for her and a Diet Coke, As I went in I saw an ATM inside the door. As I finished the transaction I turned and saw her now at the inside ATM. Asked her if the machine outside was broken....ĒNo, but it just charged me $1.50, if you need to air up the tires, itís still running.Ē

So thatís the rest of the story. Another legendary story for the kids...

Good Morning,

Rick thanks for the coffee. Sometimes a change at work is a good thing. When I worked for Wegmans, after 20 years in the Grocery Dept., I became rather bored and switched over to Produce. Had to learn everything all over again but loved the challenge. That's what I did until I retired.

Mike have fun in the shop but be careful.

Karl that's too funny. Your story just made my day; always enjoy a good tale.

Jerry safe travels up north and enjoy the family time.

The rest of the Crew hope your all doing well.

A sunny 36 this morning with a high of 68 in New York. Picked up the now fixed tractor tire yesterday so that's going back on this afternoon then see if I can get the tractor started. Not much else going on. Bench time?

Have a great day. Be safe and stay healthy.

Good morning or evening wherever in the world you are.

Coffee, hot water for tea and a variety of cold sodas are ready to go.

Showers likely, mainly between 2pm and 3pm, then rain after 3pm. High near 65.

Larry, hope the tractor started an you had some bench time.

Tom, hope you had an enjoyable day.

Jerry, no, the engineer does that.
Don't know why it's called rear brake other than when we get to the yard or NYPS you put hand brakes on the last two cars.
Rear brake also does the brake test with the engineer, makes station announcements and opens all doors at station stops.
Lots of extra work compared to just being a ticket collector and not get paid more to do it.

Karl, funny story.

Mike, how was your day?

Had a friend call me late in the afternoon and invite me over for pizza and beer.
Stayed up later than usual hence the late start here.
Bike ride first then meal prep.
Nothing planned after that.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning everyone

Rick thanks for opening and the coffee.

Weather in South Jersey cloudy/55. Rain later in the day 62.

Well the trip to North Jersey went as planned so all the kids and there was no traffic coming or going which amazed me!!

I go for my COVID shot this morning at 11:30. Will see how this works out.

Maybe some work on the Mill later today!

Everyone have a great day!!
