That dormer puzzled me too. And so did that great big black arrow painted on the roof until I read the caption.

Thanks Scott. The colours are similar to the original, although I've added the band of green along to bottom part, which I like.

Thanks Bob, I must be doing something right then if it actually looks correct to folks from the New England area. I've never been there, but always dreamed of going in the Autumn / Fall.

Thanks Carl, for still following along.

Thanks Frank, I knew someone would ask about the big arrow. Maybe it was pointing to where all the fish are.

Thanks Fred.

Rich, glad you found my build. Always nice to have you along for the ride.
I know you've had a lot of real life issues going on over the last year or more, so appreciate you dropping by.

I've started making up the signage.
All these commercial tin signs I just got off the Net. Most I don't even need to weather, as they are already old, and faded & rusted.

And I've finally decided on a name for the fishing village.
Fair Haven, named after a fictional town from a holodeck program on Star Trek Voyager.
They used the "Little Europe" set on the Universal back lot to shoot it.
Although there are villages around the world called Fair Haven.

So here is the rooftop sign for my boat works.
back

Front

Rooftop supports in place

It's currently gluing in place, and I will do another on the front roof section.

Looks good Rob.

I have over one hundred marine signs I've collected over the years.
If you need anymore, let me know...

The signs make it seem real. Danged if it isn't real!

Rob, your signs really bring the structure to life!
Perhaps one day in the future we will be able to engage with this boathouse on a holodeck.
Let's hope that one day starfleet engineers make it so!

Nice placement of the signs, Rob. They do a good job of covering the plain stairway wall.
