Interesting tanks, All.

Bruce, note the sartorial splendor of the trucker, too. Times were different Back in the Day....

Since this is "Tanks in All Forms" month, I'll offer the Head Tide Tank, on the Wiscasset, Waterville & Farmington, circa 1912. Photo was taken at the NNGC in Augusta, Maine, in 2016. The fisherman is Leon, who is field testing his new "Maine Hunting Shoe," and has apparently secured a fish for dinner. Extra points for giving us his full name! This is on the Sheepscot River, north of Wiscasset....

We have a winner! He's in there, just this side of the reddish brush at the riverside in front of the tent, holding up his fish. And after a computer "upgrade" last fall, I have no pix taken before this one, nor do I have pix taken after it, as we haven't been able to set up the module group easily, and I am poor at remembering to document stuff....

Stay safe!

Hi
Here are some tanks made by wrapping styrene around dowels, with Archer Rivet decals. The asphalt facility was modeled loosely after plans in the October 1978 MR. I found the company's name, "Black Lava Asphalt" online... just couldn't resist!

Bruce, Thanks for posting that old time Roundhouse BATTLE MOUNTAIN LIQUID GOLD tankcar :)
Years back my son & I were very pleased when we found that same version on the shelf of a hobby shop and quickly got it for our fledgling layout. Overtime we discovered it wasn't based on a prototype, so the kit sat around unbuilt until a few years ago when I converted it to another fantasy car (Real company and real product but never shipped by rail).

Not as tall as it looks, unless you fall from the top.

My 3D model of it.
