While working on the scenery for the layout, I managed to find both time and space available to assemble a Don Winter kit for a Shay Powered Road Roller.

Not quite finished and stopped for now in the grey primer stage, but I managed to get to this point in spite of some less than helpful instructions that after a certain point were at best looked marginally....

I found that after a point it was just best to forge on and do as best as one might; process of elimination applied to assembly,

Would not want to be involved in a 'head on' with that stove pipe safety restraint system. .
That'd leave a mark.
