Today’s progress. I will add mud when they hit the layout. So far I have built 6 x 6” howitzers 3 x 8” howitzers, 3 x 18lb field guns for the layout. I have one 6” gun and 3 18lb guns left to build. All are heavy white metal kits. The 3 - 8” guns will be on a module pulled by Holt tractors which I have finished.

I have a large shipment of Bogies on the way from Australia and a bunch of Styrene which will help me scratch build a number of wagons that were never produced as kits.

Good looking artillery pieces, Larry. As you said, they do need mud.

I learned today that Adrian Swain from Wrightlines passed away last Friday. Many of the Locomotives and Wagons you see in this thread are white metal kits produced by Adrian. He was one of the main reasons I could get this project off the ground. rest in piece Adrian - rest assured I will finish all the kits you sold me.

Thanks Mike, Jerry, Dave and George. Two hours work on this project today. I am at a fully operational (on clean track) DC version of a 20 HP Simplex Petrol engine. I have ordered new gears, DCC decoder and Keep alive to try to make it flawless. I am also ordering a few more of these 3D printed units to play with.

I like the impressive range of models you’re building for this project. It all looks so realistic, too.
