Quick question; which wheels pick up current on these locos, just the four drivers, or more? Thanks.

To the best of my knowledge, the On30 4-4-0s have 12 wheel pick up, 4 drivers and 8 tender wheels. Mine almost never stall and I have not felt a need to add keep alive caps.

I know the drivers and the tender wheels have pickups. I do not think the lead truck picks up power.

Ted; oh yeah! Theyíve been my downfall, and it was their price that had me asking my question. Only wish it had sound, but thatís something Iíll explore in the future.

The sound is a very simple add to the engine, there is a place for the speaker in the tender as well as an 8 pin decoder plug. The bad news is the sound will cost you way more than the price of the engine.
