Beautiful Ray!
What a way to capture a trip. My luck and I would have crashed the drone on the first pass.
Well done, thank you for sharing.

Dark Side of the Moon or Frank Yankovic's Greatest Polkas.

Actually the desolation of the desert felt like it was brought out by that stoic music. What the heck do I know, my drone records in Super-8.

On Monday Cris and I went up to the little mountain town of Julian to celebrate our anniversary. We spent the night at the historic Julian Hotel, and had a great time. Anyway, while we were in the mountains I got a chance to fly the drone a few times. Here's a brief video from those flights:

Enjoy!

11/30/17 -- I just replaced the link, to show a newer version of this video. On the new version, I adjusted the colors to look less muddy, and also replaced the last clip with a better one.

Excellent movie Ray! I'm amazed at how baron, and no signs of life. I sure wouldn't want to have an automotive break down out there'...You're brave soul'...

Ray, An other beautiful effort. The music is in theme with a great show on WXPN (Univ. Of Pennsylvania) called Echos hosted forever by John Diliberto. This station and WMNF Tampa are both at 88.5 FM. A little alert, they are at the far left on your radio dial. They are also in my humble opinion, the two best radio stations on planet Earth. Beholden to no one. No commercials, or obnoxious DJ's. Music of all genres. With host that love and have great knowledge of the music they play.
Word Cafe hosted by David Dye is one of the best (maybe the) music radio shows ever. I am a friend of David's so I may be partial.

We visited Julian again last week, this time for my birthday. Here's my video from that trip.

It's early January in the former mining town of Julian, CA. A light rain is beginning to fall as my Mavic Pro drone flies over this peaceful mountain village. Later that night there's a lull in the weather, as we drift above deserted streets. By morning the town is hit with high winds and heavy rain:

Enjoy!

OMG! This is probably some of the best reference material I've seen in some time. And so beautiful to just sit back and enjoy. Just friggin outstanding Ray!
