Our last set of plans comes to us from Andy B, who views his plans as being simple, yet versatile, offering something for everyone. Here again, pictures aren't the best, but the general mains are definable. For a better look, use the icon in the lower right to enlarge each picture.

Below, are the left and right sides of the single level plan:

Keep in mind how we last left MR. HANDS-IN-HIS-POCKETS, and that the 'R' in Rick
really stands for rocks! Recently, Rick was banned from the basement as he was finding
too many of 'em!

As you can see below, he had been unearthing some rather large ones :

And then this one, the mother of all mother rocks :

So MR. HANDS-IN-HIS-POCKETS decided to redeem himself by working
extremely hard to remove the lid from our recently found dry-well:

Those rocks are now resting in the drywell.

AND BINGO! We now have a place for our monster rocks which defy cleaving!

As a reward, Dean and the boys took pity on Rick and put together a bench whereby
he could take a break:

Nice job, Dean! That really looks nice. And lest everyone think that Rick accomplished
this feat by himself, I understand he had a little help.

Wow Rick, that looks like quite a job! So why is Allen busting on you? Hmmm, from the looks of things, Allen is taking pictures while Mr. "Hands in his pockets" is doing all the work! Careful Allen, they may come up with a nick name for you!

Seriously though, putting those rocks in the dry well was a great idea. I'm sure it's easier to push them down than pull them up and out of the basement!

And I love that bench! Absolutely fantastic!

Allen:

You may want to get down to the Club, the old Septic Tank has been uncovered and you may want to get some pictures. Its not as big as the dry well is but its another good place to dump rocks.

This is an amazing undertaking, and really makes me think that my 5 foot clearance basement needs to be excavated for a layout. I wonder if the CEO would allow it, heck, it probably wouldn't even make it to committee for hearings.
Great work this far. Keep us posted.

Rick, . .I was by this morning and I will return this afternoon for some pictures. Looks like quite a bit was accomplished this week including the re-bar and forms for the short buttress walls in the new layout room.

Also, after taking a look at our old layout room, including the new depository for large debris, I feel the only thing keeping us from finishing our project by the end of this year is capital.

I look forward to seeing you.

Hmmm, I do hope that it was empty and dry!

Mark, . .It was a little on the damp side, but I think the water
was added to help settle the area after some back-fill was intro-
duced. Here are the pictures I took this afternoon:

Below, the damp & dry spot to the right of the wheelbarrow
is where the large, filled dry-well is located:

Above, in the lower part of the picture, is one end of the un-
used septic tank which was dug-out this week.

Below, a close-up of the old dry-well area:

Above and Below, the septic tank on its way to being filled with debris:

The last three pictures are of the re-bar and forms that were
installed this week in preparation for an upcoming concrete pour:

Below, the re-bar that ties the old dividing wall to the new buttress
wall and floor,

And below, near the bulkhead passageway, the re-bar to extend
the old wall down to the new floor level

The last picture is of the form-boards for the low buttress
walls in our new layout room.

Once the concrete is poured, our new layout room will be
complete as far as mud is concerned.

Chris,

I think I would look for some extraordinary circumstances which would require basement renovation. You could always retain an engineer to present his findings to the committee for hearings.
