i seen it on tulsa's layout for the old west and thought it would be cool to have on the layout.......
doesnt mean anyone is gonna be seen hanging.....
except for maybe deer or elk

its gonna get placed in a different area of my layout down the road when the scene gets finished,
as i am placing different items in different areas to keep people guessing as to what will be scene in the pic that they didnt see the first time

i do have questions for you guys.....
being i am changing all my locos to small steam or critters

i did some checking on dead rail,
is it worth it?
does anyone here run it?

it seems like a great way to run a tight turn layout, but i find little info,
i dont know which way would be easier, keep alives or getting rid of most of the electronics
and going back to a layout with little wiring

gonna keep looking into this but was hopeing for more info than what i am finding,

Looking great Dave. You can never have to many trees. The only problem I have run into is trying to clean the track. I'm going to have to get track cleaning car. Maybe dead rail is the way to go.

If you are running small locos, such as Porters, small KAs take up little space. I use KAs in my small locos and it has worked out very well. I have a friend with a very large On30 RR, and he is all Dead Rail. He has from 8 to 15 operators at many of his sessions, and we all enjoy the reliability of the Battery power, radio control. But, my friend has the chore of charging all the batteries before his ops sessions!

Hi Dave, thanks for the update and pics.
You must have a bunch of baddies running around to need a gallows.

been working on my collection of shorty equipment and start getting it ready for the layout

excuse my hand painting but my hands are not as steady as they used to be, weathering will take care of the mistakes when i get it closer to being done

Dave,

Your majestic trees inspire awe and your shorty rolling stock brings a chuckle. Very well done.
