I am also wondering how they get them back down to use them.

They may stack them one at a time, but they come down in much larger numbers. I love how one picture causes so many comments. Beautiful.

So it appears that we still have an unsolved puzzle on our hands.
The hows of up and down at the biggest cooperage. Since Fred opened this door, it's fitting that he closes it....

I'm just a simple guy who enjoys modeling. Solving the 8th wonder of the world is beyond my capabilities.

They could be barrels of monkeys, the monkeys start running and roll the barrels up hill.

I've been working on a "buzz" all day.

Also known as a shave or shaver. It's the brown thing beside the butter churn. There's also a plane, a shaving horse, other shaving tools, a hammer and a hoop driver (not to be confused with an Uber driver).

Love the coopers workshop.

I photographed this old guy some years back at Mystic.

Thanks for the kind words, gentlemen.

Dave, I haven't even started with the shavings yet. In fact I've cleaned up the floor a bit since I took that shot. I need to decide for sure where everything is going to be placed. Then I'll know for sure "where the chips may fall".
