Merry Christmas!
I got a new camera as a gift from my wife.

I have used my old Sony DSC320 for several years, but it has starting to show its age...
The new one is a Sony DSC QX100:

It uses my smartphone as a display, and if I mount the lenz separately, I can be 30 feet away with the phone to control it. Very useful feature.
It is a very nice piece of hardware which will be very fun to use more.
Here is a test pic from this mornings "Julotta" (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julotta)

Interesting. Looks more like something that would appear in the April issue of MR.

I'm going to have to keep that in mind for next year. Thank you for shown it to us and also for the beautiful photo with lesson.

With all the electronics gadgets that appear throughout the year the Sony optics are by far the best. Last year I purchased a small Go Pro type camera that was a Black Friday special, a one day only $229.00 MSRP. for $89.00 with free shipping. This camera is small enough to fit on a special flatcar to photograph track level video. Example link to Youtube segment https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bGDCDlfHS6Y
Since this purchase I have invested in additional equipment that have very similar optics. All are equal in quality. The last even has WIFI Bluetooth that can be linked to any other equipped device. I have linked it to my laptop for an example.

HI again!
I took a couple of test shots today. I used no additional lights and in the photo size that is standard when transferred to the phone.

Feels like it's got potential.

Thanks Michael'..First time using the camera'. It's a great way to see what short comings are on the layout. As well as where more detail is needed'..Looking forward to seeing your test run with the Sony'...
