I've gotten a lot of inspiration over the years from Verne.

I'm happy we still have much of his work to look at.

I was in high school when he was born so he was pretty young to me.

Always hate to lose someone in the hobby.

Verne was a real inspiration to me and I enjoyed his vignettes and hearing about life on the Estrella and Sonora Grande. His modeling always seemed to have a touch of whimsy to it, and the worlds he created were places that I would like visit. Happy trails Verne...

I've kind of been in shock ever since I first heard about Verne's passing earlier today. I never got to meet him in person, just online, but he was a good friend and an inspiring modeler. I always enjoyed his models, his humor, and his friendly personality.

The definition of a friend:
a person who you like and enjoy being with
a person who helps or supports someone or something (such as a cause or charity)

I never had the chance to meet Verne in the flesh, but what a great friend he became over the years. He was a friend to me, to my hobby, and to the www community as a whole. Making someone smile or even giggle on occasion is magic and he certainly had the magic we all wished we had. Verne old buddy, you will be missed! Russ

For those unfamiliar with the product, it is pronounced 'FREE-OH-LEAN'...
