We had a great opportunity at the NMRA NCR Div3 convention to visit and photograph an operating steel mill. The only place in the US where up to 1600' welded steel rail is produced, loaded and shipped. Free samples were offered but the 35 ton 'sticks' were just a bit cumbersome. The pictures are the ones without a head popping up in front of me.

Picture #59 is for "dead rail" fans.
