Looks great, really like the new plan. The town has a nice flow to it, and looks like there is enough room to get some switching done.

Cheers, Heath.

The composition of this section of the layout definitely has a much more coherent feel to it, and it'll give your engine facilities more breathing room. All in all a great revision, can't wait to see it finished!

Today I got some work done on the rocky exterior of Rainbow Caverns, carving the pink foam with a hotwire and a Dremel tool. While trying to figure out the best way to hide that black-painted 1x3 riser in the middle, I came up with the idea to put a mine shaft there with an animated lift operating from the Big Thunder Mine mocked-up above. The shaft will seem to pass through the caverns then on down to the rich diggings somewhere below.

Absense makes the heart grow fonder or some such nonsense. Anyhow I am so glad to once again be looking forward to the wonderful posts about Thunder Mesa. Thank you. Russ

Dave,
Great work on cutting and forming the foam.
Where did you get the mountain lion?

Thanks guys. Tom, the mountain lion came in a package of critters from Woodland Scenics.
