It was quiet that night... the switcher was chuffing around on the pier, the theatergoers were oblivious to the night around them, and in the shadows, well....

Very nicely done, Greg! Looks great to me!

Thanks! Bob, Pete & Karl.

Bob, it gave me a chance to dust some of them off.
Glad you enjoyed it.

Pete, I have the Bat signal installed on one of those tall buildings.

Karl, I think Sam Spade is in the city somewhere, looking for something called a Maltese Falcon.

Itís a puzzle: how a guy can both have a pier and not have a peer.

Fantastic work, Greg. Your pier really needed a city.

I always enjoy your nighttime photography.

Mike

Thanks! Pete & Mike.

Pete, glad you like the Bat signal.

Mike, I am surrounded by my peers here on the forums!
Glad you enjoy my nighttime photos, as much as I do taking them.

Greg

Greg,
Very Nice!
The added buildings really capture the big city look.

A private eye and a Falcon,
a bat and some dust
blend city and harbor,
a-piering - we trust -
to foreshadow a layout
that someday will just...
...knock our socks off!
[so we can't even rhyme anymore :) ]

Thanks! Dave, Bill & Carl, for your posts!

Dave, I have all of those structures just sitting here, so I thought I'd put them to better use.

Bill, your puns are better than your rhymes.
Hopefully I'll get the rest of that layout one day!

Carl, this was just a bit of fun in between designing my first kit.
Back to work I go.

Greg

Thanks! Mark.

Here is a B&W photo this time, with the focus on just one side of the pier.

That's one degree away from real. Maybe less.
Hell of a job, Greg. I thank you for sharing.

"Bill, your puns are better than your rhymes." Greg

There once was a Greg from Nantucket
Who...

Greg, I think you're right! We won't go there. But it'd be neat to shrink and go take a walk around Magoun Pier.
