Nice work Greg. I've got some catching up to do on this thread.

You should add a 1:87 Big "T" hitched up to the pier.

Might need a longer pier.

Hi Greg! So glad the open house went well. I even noticed a visitor who was just up this way in Ottawa at our NMRA convention. Someday I'm going to have to head down your way to see this magnificent complex. It was really nice seeing the smile on your face as you hosted the open house!

Thanks, Slim & Mike.

Mike, you are welcome to visit my home & layout anytime my friend.
It would be great to get a photo or two, of you close to your namesake tug working the pier.

Greg,

The whole Pier complex rocks, but these night shots are fabulous! Please keep them coming!

That's amazing! Feel like I'm looking at a vintage photo of the good ole days in railroading ... and there's nothing IN the photo to tell me otherwise. Superb.

Cheers,

Thanks! Pete & Dallas.

Pete, I'm really hoping to take Magoun pier outside to photograph in the evening sometime soon.

Dallas, here is the same photo in B&W to try and make it look more real looking.
I think B&W photo's do that for some reason.

In this case, I think even the color shot does the trick -- the graininess and all -- looks like an old slide

Cheers,

Greg,

Now I expect to see Marlon Brando and Lee j Cobb. Classic noir look.

Thanks Larry!

Dallas, good to know that you think the colour photo is as believable in this case, as the B&W photo is.

Here is a aerial view of the pier, with many different shipments arriving by rail.
And then loaded into the cargo holds of waiting ships.
