Posting a photo in the Finescale Urban thread earlier today gave me an idea. Dangerous things, those ideas...

Mike,

Is the building that is right in the center of the second picture the same building in pictures 3 and 4? Interesting structure with the odd corner roofs.

Chuck, it is the same building, the Coates House Hotel. The aerial view was taken in 1927. The street level views were photographed in 1948 after the hotel had undergone cleaning and repainting.
