With the Springfield show coming up in a couple of weeks, it seems like a good time to see who's headed that way, and whether we can get a Forum Gathering Photo Op going, perhaps, as we have done in years past, at 1100 Saturday morning.

Ideas for a gathering place? Any "hosts" out there?

Anyone else going?

Comments?

As every year, I'll be there Pete. I'll be checking back for where a meet and greet will be.

I hope to make it this year. A RR-Line gathering would be great. 1100 Saturday sounds good - where?

Looks like Sunday is the day I'll make it. Hope some of you stick around so we can also have a Sunday meet.
The BLC building has always been the place, at Scott Mason's booth, but he's no longer in the business so we need to find a new host.

John,

If memory serves, you sold your module to one of the Valley HO-Trak guys. Will the module be at the show? If so, we could perhaps plan a Sunday meeting as well, perhaps with us admiring your handiwork at the Valley layout in the BLC. It's a very cool module!

Pete,

My module was "given" to Bob Norton a few weeks ago. Bob is a long time member of VHOT
and is a super modeler. Not wanting to break up the module, I thought it best to donate
it to a club member who will be its steward. This way, the module will stay intact and
also allow me to see it in use, especially at Springfield. I will recheck with him to
make sure he is bringing it.

That would be a good meeting place as most long time visitors know where the layout is
located.

John

Sorry I won't be seeing some of you. I can only do the Saturdays as every year. Anyway, I've always thought Sundays was the slow day and all the vendor's were looking to pack their stuff and leave town.

Only missed it once since 1979, my daughter was born the day before the 1980 show.
I'd enjoy getting together with forumites.

There are other shows where vendors are ready to leave an hour before closing time, but I've never seen anyone at Springfield start packing until the last 10-15 minutes. I expect to be at the Hub Division layout, which is usually in the northeast corner of the BLC.

Hi Pete from Michigan,

Just to confirm, my module will be at Springfield all weekend with the Valley HO Trak, BLC, Sect. 12.
I will be there all day Sunday and would love to meet other forum members. I suspect, however, that
most will be attending on Saturday. Set up a meeting time and we'll see who responds.
