Well I ahve been saying this for YEARS to all the Youtubers. I strongly encourage people to visit their local Flea markets and frequent the auctions too. You will find so many deals and things that are for model railroads mad cheap. For example. Today I JUST came back from my local flea Market and while I was about tto leave I saw a lady had a bunch of older Lionel trains in the boxes as well as track and accessories. I was not interested at all. I did not even look thru the Huge boxes. However right in front of my face was two brand new unopened packages of NWSl true Sander and a The chopper. I simply asked how much for them and she said $2 a piece. I smiled politely gave her a $5 bill and said keep the change, thank you. You just cannot beat that deal so I would not have counter offered a penny less. She still has a ton of older model railroad tools and accessories but they were for Lionel stuff and I just have no interest in Lionel or any other Gauge UNLESS I am buying just to resell on the Bay. So again I say if you have local flea markets, yard sales and best of all Auctions, ATTEND THEM. It's fun and you will surely find deals on Model railroad items.

that was a pretty great find Al! i do agree with you, i just wish we had flea markets like you guys do, heck, even when i went to belgium they had some great things, alas the odd car boot sale find is good enough, but its not often, and never anything as good as that Al

Good find for you. Around these parts if it a railroad related item, they feel like is worth it's weight in silver. If it says FRISCO it is worth it's weight in gold.

Great pickup. My experience is more like OldGuy's... everything's "rare", "vintage", and really overpriced... and "they can get that much on eBay for it" to which I say "knock yourself out."

Al - That's definitely a great find. I find both those tools to be very useful. One word of caution if you haven't used the True Sander before - I discovered the hard way that mine wasn't actually "true." I kept having issues with parts not lining up correctly, so I checked my True Sander with a right angle ruler and found that it was slightly off. I adjusted the clamps to hold the metal fence at the correct angle using my right angle ruler, and it works great now. I'm guessing that's what you're probably supposed to do from the beginning, but I just started using it assuming that it was a true right angle.
