You've already seen 2 of them, well now the 3rd one is on its way to completion.
After building the Vertical boiler critter, I had a davenport body left over.
So what to do with it.
I hunted out a spare Underground Ernie inspection car chassis and it looked suitable, so today I built a new chassis for it. It needs two sub-frames to fill the gaps between the Ernie chassis and the 'buffer beams' - so here's the 1st pictures with the rear sub-frame built.

Went a bought a brass klaxon from my KHS and used the Ernie lamp as the critter's headlamp

There's room for a sound decoder with this chassis, but for now it's running as a straight DC loco.
Cheers

cant beat scrap box locos.

FYI david, the side frames from the grandtline battery loco are a near perfect size and fit to fit between the end beams of the davenport frame. :)

Hah, Andy you might have said HO Battery Mine loco kit!
Got one on order now, thanks for the heads-up.
Meanwhile we've done a bit more work on the 3rd Davenport.
I've suspended any mor work on it whilst wait on footplate steps, the sideframes and my LHS to get some more ship's hatches in - having added doors to it, thought the engineer would appreciate some form of heat exhaust.

Cheers
