Country: | Posts: 7275 Sean_OBrien Engine Wiper Posted - 06/21/2012 :  2:28:26 PM     You know though - cutting a circle is much easier than cutting an octagon (or a portion of an octagon). Find your radii - set a trammel with a jigsaw or router attachment - go to town. Router with a pattern cutting bit would let you cut all your sections to the exact same size as well. Should be able to do a sandwich sheet for the base and than just build a regular rectangular frame under that to hold flip down legs with self levelers. Brace the joining edges with straight pieces of hardwood or aluminum to allow for a peg and socket connection, which would allow you to make setting back up a breeze. Also - don't forget that there is really no specific reason to limit it to 4 sections. In order to get through doors and what not - you can use a larger radius with more sections and still have roughly the same size for each component - though you would have more of them of course.
