hello matthew.
im not a modern standard gauge modeller, and not a huge user of polyscale beyond freight car and passenger car colours. so feel free to ignore. but the darker orange looks like BNSF would be close, but the pinky shade im not sure, however are you 100% set on useing polyscale paints? i understand why you'd like to use them, but dont ignore other brands of paint and even craft paint. but regardless what brand you go with, i think you make need to do some mixing to get the right shades. but i really like patch jobs so i hope you figure something out and i hope you post photos when you done it

I am open to any acrylic paint really, I hove only used polyscale with my airbrush, and I am still a novelist with it and I like the outcome of polyscale.

If you look on TheRailwire Forum in their weathering section, I believe there's a thread called "Fading fast" and it demonstrates using a diluted acrylic to get that very faded, chalky kinda look to a paint scheme. The author used an already painted subject and faded it gradually 'til it looked "salty" (old and faded). Maybe you'll only need 1 coat of Orange, mask off the areas you want to stay "fresh" and weather the rest of the unit. Post photos if it works. Joe
