has anyone purchased the dcc walthers 120' turntable? want to get some feedback on it before shelling out mucho clams. i am also going to be using it with kato unitrack and wonder if the two are compatible? any help will be greatly appreciated. pat.

HO or N scale? The 90' and 130' turntables are much better than the first ones issued. The indexing works and they are smooth. However, I would call them and ask if it is compatible with Kato Unitrack. I do not see any reason it wouldn't be. The only thing you would have to do is install it to match the Unitrack height.

I never owned one myself, but chatter was the first walthers 120' turntable put out on the market was giving everyone problems, from the indexting system to the overall construction if it. I just made some google searchers to see if I was right, and it's out there, where lots of people were unhappy with that turntable. This is the best answer I can offer you.

Just as an fyi, our club has the earlier 120 foot turntable. The instructions said that it could be powered AC or DC. When we originally powered it with DC, we had many problems with it. We changed it to AC and it has worked almost perfectly since.
