Gee Whiz.... a whole page of comments and nobody really took a swipe at your modeling.... I guess it's because it must be meeting or exceeding what we all expect from the old timer here, or it's just flat outright pretty darn good modeling so far.... But like Mr. runner says.... you got a few folks ahh-watching....

Life is to short to make all of the models I want to.

Yup we are watching, and waitin. I do like the walls, like Rick said, we need to see bigger pictures so we can comment better. Anything that is successful with weathered wood and red oxide I am most curious about.

After graining the wood. I clean out the groove with a toothbrush.

Next I do two coats of SilverWood letting it dry between coats.
Next I do basically the same as Brett does using the REMBRANDT Soft Pastel in this case Caput Mortuum Red 343.3.
With a razor blade I scrape it over the wood but also make a small pile of it in case I need more.
Then to wash it into the wood I use Acetone (which I like because it evaporates quickly).

Start at the bottom with a stiff brush and go from bottom to top. That way your left with a little Silverwood showing through on the bottom and at the top under the eaves you have a much darker color where it would not be weathered as much.

Very well done for sure now that we can actually see it, its even better than I thought.

Brett, you won't have to worry about retiring off the money from the stuff Jerry builds. The rush is on. Pat

It's even nicer in the big picture, Jerry. And thanks for the explanations, too.

I have to join in with everyone else. The walls look great. Color and weathering are right on.

The walls put together. And finally pictures. I'm still fooling with getting the background white. But it's the first time I've shot the pictures in RAW.

Anyway hope you enjoy them!!
