I'm a fan of dry transfers, Dave. I think many modelers shy away from them for a variety of reasons - lining them up is probably the main one.
Any how-to's to make them less 'frightening' to modelers is a good thing.
I don't have decals made up for my HOn3 Slate Run RR, so all my rolling stock is lettered with dry transfers and signs on many of my buildings are made with them, too.

Dave, I like Bruce, like the use of dry transfers but some supplers either leave them in the heat or cold storage places and they become brittle. My local hobby shop won't carry them, or take the chance of ordering them, for that same reason.
