I've wanted a hoist car for the L&R so another tyco caboose was resurrected and helped to build this hoist car.
Now, I can get away from these rolling stock builds, and find something on the shelf so I can join in on the (10th Anniversary Build a Model in 2 months Challenge).

Boy have you been busy. Nice hoist but doesn't it need a derrick too?

Nope. They had these hoist on rolling stock as is.

Here is one that won a contest years ago by someone else, and the judges' didn't look for a derrick.
