The MP car was last seen on Dave's railroad on page 17 of the forum. Dave should have sent it to Ron. Ron or Dave do either of you guys have Crispy's MP 60 box car? Did you send it on? Ron, You should now send the cars you get to Bruce because of the changes in the interchange recently.
Jon, I have not received this month's interchange car myself. Is it enroute?

Guys, I sent Crispys car to Jon (L&NNut) it was a little late but it went out I think round 7/15. I must sincerley apologize to all for my lackluster participation in my first Interchange, (Although there has only been one sighting of my RWRy. Boxcar so far.) but timing is everyting. I held onto Crispy's car a little longer thinking that I would get into the train room to do it justice, but no dice.
Bill, I was not aware that there were changes to the mailing order.

Ron,
Bruce sent out an email on 7/30/11 explaining a couple of guys had to drop out of the interchange, one of them being the guy you sent your cars to. You are now supposed to mail your cars from now on to Bruce. PM me your email address and I can sent it to you. Is your 'charter' address the current one?

Guys,
The good news is that I received two cars from Jon in the mail today. I will try to get some pictures posted in the next day or so.
These two cars will travel together for the rest of the Interchange.

Great shot Bruce. Makes the SAL car look good!! Thanks for posting. I do have some shots to post myself but I haven't had time to downsize them for uploading. Hopefully things will slow down a little while my dad is visiting my sister in NH!

Thanks, Andy.
Here is the other visitor to the Jersey Highlands RR.
This MP boxcar is being shunted around the yard by the Susquehanna's GE loco.

There it is! Great photos of both cars Bruce. I really like the Seaboard car photo. I also like the 70 tonner, neat!
I haven't been to the PO yet but I'm still car-less myself. Not that I don't have anything better to do like clean my railroad which is about done BTW. All that is left is to clean track and check turnout electrical connections most of which should be just fine.

Wonderful shot of the Seaboard Bruce. That is an impressive structure and the lighting is really evocative of a gorgeous late afternoon. Crispy is thrilled to see the MP in action.

John,
You will get two cars from me again next month (in a week or two). This is going to happen because two of our members had to drop out of the interchange.

We welcome the 2 new box cars to the blue springs RR The yard shop was pulling the cars into inspection as they had been backed up today, both cars seem to be ok and the burlington switcher was on her way to the yard for the transport.
all the paper work seems to be in order so they are going to get a weight reading then pick-up and on there way to off loaded.

The 2 cars should make the weight station in a few hours and we will update the status on them.

more news coming.......

Good to see a couple of cars on the interchange again John. Looks like they are both ready to be spotted and unloaded. Looking forward to the news.
I have nothing for the August interchange. I sure hope the coverage picks up again. Has anyone seen my NH cement hopper? It has also gone MIA.

Fellow Interchangers, . .Just a note to let you know that my wife is ungoing some medical problems and evaluations, so this month's posts may be a little late. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
. . .
To those of The Interchange, . .Since my last post of above, you have probably been wondering what's happening at the Brooklyn Yard (our home)? I have shared the following with my fellow forum moderators and with two very special friends (one, a forum member, and his wife) that we met some years back. My wife (Beth) was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia about 4 weeks ago, and after her first week in the hospital and regiment of chemo, she came home and broke her right fibula the day after. A week later she came home from the hospital again and had to return several days later with a ruptured left bicep due to one of the medications she was taking. In extreme pain, we rushed her back to the hospital, where she struggled all day. Around 7 pm that evening, her blood pressure dropped dangerously to 62/20 and she was sent to the ICU. I/we came very close to losing her, but two days later, she was moved to the oncology unit on the 5th floor, and eventually, she was able to come home again. As you can probably surmise, I have been very busy caring for her and of necessity, have allowed my yardmaster duties to slide a bit. Things are beginning to take a turn for the good, and next Monday, we have an appointment with a bone-marrow transplant specialist.
During these past weeks, my wife has encouraged me to remain strong by continuing my physical exercise program for diabetes, and by continuing activities such as the Interchange to help me relax, and to focus on other things besides her illness. It has been difficult, mainly because I feel I must be close by her side all the time. Finally, this past week, I took her advice about the Interchange, and I'm getting ready to finish the pickle car scenario. I even took a few minutes to put together a scene for the L & N hopper, and I plan to do a photo shoot this coming week.
Guess that's about it. . .That's enough! I look forward to my next car, Bill, and Karl, I will try to shipped the hopper out to you during the first week of September. Wow! . .Where has this summer gone?
