There is something about night time or low-light photos that really catch my attention. After all, activity on the rails does not stop at dusk, nor does life in all those structures we place on our layouts and dioramas. So this month's Photo Gallery is devoted to those low-light or night time shots. If you have some that you have taken, this is the time to post them here. If you don't have any, March is a long month. Get your camera out and do some experimenting.

I once again caution everyone to keep copyright issues in mind. If you didn't take the picture, it isn't yours to post. Links to photos on the web are allowed, however.

In consideration for those on dial-up, please keep your photos to 80KB or smaller.

I will start out with this one. It was one of my first attempts at low light shots with my previous digital camera.

Very nice, Jim. I like the way the light shines on the rail in that last photo.

This should be an amazing gallery this month.
First up for me one of my favorite night shots of my 20th Century Box factory.

A great start to the month indeed, guys. Love the fireworks, Bob. Greg, both shots are beautiful, but that second one really grabs my attention.

I had posted two 'teaser' shots in the run-up to this month's Gallery. I figure I might as well post them here.

The first is the roundhouse at night.

The second is a NJC caboose with marker lamps lit.

A wonderful subject, and already some top class postings! I'm not rigging my layout for night running, but still have some lit scenes to photograph.

Troels,That is both a beautiful model and photograph!
I as others will look forward to see what else you will come up with for this month's gallery.

I told you I had lots more here is another one inspired by Mr. Kirk himself.
