If you go to "gallery" and visit the CSS07 link, you'll see a Brian Nolan page. I'll try to add a bunch more pictures of his excellent work this weekend. I always will remember seeing Brian's work at that show; I had almost never seen such excellent modeling.

For those interested here is a direct link to the page on Matt's web site for the models done by Brian.

While there have a look around since there is some neat stuff to be found on these pages.
I wore my poor computer out clicking on his web site back when I was building Big Lou's.
Also a nice collection of F&SM pictures.

Today's service was a beautiful tribute to a wonderful man. There were lots of tears and a few laughs. the bagpipes were played and as you can see full honor guard and color guard. Firefighters and police from all around were there, the place was standing room only.
I went for those of you who could not.
Good bye my friend.

Thanks Marty for representing us at the service.

I spent the morning modeling for this simple act seemed the best way for me to honor what Brian has meant to so many of us.

Rest in peace Brian.

Many of you know that Brian was a team member of the Sundance Central Modular Railroad. I just wanted to let the forum members know that probably the last bit of modeling that Brain did was helping me color the stones on the small short line depot project I constucted for the modular layout. So I am very pleased that Brain's talent can be seen on the depot when the modular layout will be on display at the 30th NNGC in St.Louis this September. Thanks Brain and God bless.

Thanks , Marty . I do wish I had been able to go , but England to Florida is a bit far . Did you grab a load of copies of the service sheet for those who might want one ?
It is a pity they didn't spell Dave's name properly .

Hello all. There are photo's on TCpalm.com of the service for Brian. My department's Honor Guard puts their best efforts into providing a sendoff fitting for our friend and brother. There were over 600 people that came to Brian's viewing Friday night and there was standing room only in the church that hold over 750. That should sum it all up on what a special man he was.

Marty, thanks for scanning the program.
Wish I could have gone.
If you did grab extra copies, I'd love to have one.

Ed, thanks for the links to to pictures.

Still hard to believe that he's gone.

Ed ,

If you then add all the people who would have gone but couldn't get there , for whatever reason , that adds up to quite a few people .

Only right , really .

Nick, you are so right. Brian's family was blown away with the number of folks that showed up at both the viewing and the service. Brian Jr. came up to me and said that he had no idea that his father had touched so many people. I told him that it was not just local but national & international as well.
