Bill,
The EH looks awesome!!! Nice work on the coloring as well as the siding. The coloring of the siding is always the hard part for me. Keep up the good work. I might have missed it but, did you freelance it or have some plans? Either way you did well.

Thanks Guys...encouragement is always welcome.....
Mike - sorta kinda "half & half" I have the plans
for the "Haliburton Engine House" and I had this
big pile of stripwood, so I gave it a try.
The roof and gables and celestory are all my work,
just the walls are from the kit plans. Also, I should
have put bigger windows I know, but there will be
another auxillary building/scene attached to the EH.
More to follow when the rest of the stripwood arrives.

OK - so ya had a laff at the funny video, now have a laff at this:
All that is left is the front doors that will be installed on the layout so I get the track clearance right. All the coloring on the EH is either A/I or rembrandt pastel chalks.

Thats pretty much it for the main structure.
Now, I need to transport it to the lake and get the side building situated . It's already done....long before I built this.
Just an FYI:
254 Battens
260 1x12 both roof areas
96 1x12 on celestory
148 1x12 uprights on the sides
40 1x12 uprights on front and rear entrys
136 various pieces inside framing
8 1x12 ridge caps
942 pieces in all....I think. (Where's Mr Testard, my favorite math instructor?)
Anyway, its a lot of wood!!! I have had a great time building it so far....Thanks for looking in and any comments that you may wish to add.....

Forgot: The shop entrance will get a "treatment"
and the front will get smudged up with grime and smoke
residue when I get the doors on.Maybe even some faded
lettering.
