It is December, and another year is coming to a close. That means that it is time for our third annual ‘photo review’ - a showcase for what we have accomplished at the modeling bench or on the layout in 2009.

Photos showing any modeling work you've done over the past year are welcome: structures, rolling stock, vehicles, motive power, scenery work, track work, layout construction - all are appropriate!

Since the more prolific modelers among us might have a lot of photos to share, I will suggest that you spread them among several posts. Those members on dial-up have loads of problems if we upload more than 3 or 4 pictures at a time.

Okay, then, let’s see what you have accomplished in 2009! You don't want us to think that you've done nothing, right?

I once again caution everyone to keep copyright issues in mind.

In consideration for those on dial-up, please keep your photos to 80KB or smaller.

My major accomplishment has been the completion of the hoist house for my anthracite coal mine.

One of the early projects in '09 was some upgrading of this IHC steamer.

I'm not one of those prolific modelers Bruce mentioned in the opening post, but I was able to finish a couple. That's actually a lot better the past couple of years.

This is the Mt. Albert Fuel Bunker kit.

Since I was recovering from surgery last winter and spring, I whiled away the hours with Sierra West's "Blue Sky - No Frills" kit.

More photos to come later.

Chuck, this months theme is models we've built, not pictures of prototypes.
And you thought you could fool us.

most of 09 for me was exploring a possible switch to On30. A goal of mine was to see if I could make an operating Mann's Creek hopper, which I did, and I have have made five to date and more to come.

Was the year that myself and John Hunter made our deadline to finish our joint "Dolly Varden Mines Railway" On30 exhibition layout, and actually see it run as a layout (not a diorama!). Also saw the layout commence its tour of duty at the regional railway exhibitions to favourable response.

Stoney Creek Plain and Fancy Bakery. Still need to figure out what to do with the sign and some touch up and weathering.
