I was wondering if any one here has built
kits from FULL STEAM AHEAD. If so, would
you please comment upon your experiences,
and if they were satisfying? Thank you,
and Good-Luck, Peter Boylan

I have done two kits in HO and one in O. They are good kits with good instructions. Even though he doesn't advertise it, he does sell O scale cedar shake shingles seperately which work out really well. Have fun.

I have built 3 of his models in HO scale. Joe Rutter is a good kit designer and a swell person to deal with. his current offering Kirk Cannery is really good.

I just buy his kits otherwise I have no connection with Full Steam Ahead

Peter, You will enjoy any kit you purchase from Joe. They assemble beautifully and they look fabulous placed alone on a shelf or situated in a scene on a diorama or layout. Joe is a great guy, as mentioned already. you'll be very happy with your kit.

Cheers, Mike

Hi Peter, and welcome to the forums.
I have built many "Full Steam Ahead" kits and as a added bonus, I've had the pleasure to meet and become friends with Joe Rutter, he's all around good guy!
So I definitely have a bias, but the truth be said his kit's are fantastic value for the money spent!
I've always thought that one of Joe's kits, if sold by another manufacturer, would be twice as mucht money.
I am currently doing a build on one of his most recent kit's "Troels Kirk Cannery" you can see me build the kit right before your eyes Right here on this forum.
I also think this kit happens to be one of his best.
They come with easy to follow instructions and the kit's go together well.

Here are a couple of shots of some of the kits of FSA I have built.

First up the R G Shinnie Boat works
[Gee I wonder why I picked this one}

And I know this one happens to be a favorite of Joe's The Wooden Hotel

Hi Everyone:

Thank you for the very nice compliments. Much of what I do comes from talking to other modelers like yourselves.

Yes, Greg I do love the "King Eddie". I still wonder how you got of picture of Jimmy G stumbling out in miniature????
