I wanted to display my
ON30 models and I hope that I'm not repeating
what someone else has done, but I haven't
seen this on the forum before.
You can get them at WalMart around the toys.
I just used diluted white glue and water,
dried used tea leaves and a few bits of gravel
from the yard and hand layed track.

Sorry this should be the first pic.
the display does not come with track

Makes a nice display! I could probably build a N scale layout in that thing!

Carl, that's a great looking quick and easy way to put out a display for sure. I like it!

Yep- works pretty slick! I got 2 different size of these display cases at Hobby Lobby- I think $10 a piece- and used a length of Bachmann EasyTrack. I just painted the edge of the "ballast" and the rest of the display stand- sprinkled on some ground cover while it was wet, and PRESTO- nice little display!

Both WalMart, Hobby Lobby, and probably others (plus MicroMark) have these, and there are different sizes available.

I really like the Porter and the tool car- great conversation piece. Nice work!

Great little display, I picked on of these up at Hobby Lobby as well (a little longer).

If you watch Hobby Lobbys sale adds these are often listed as 40% off or you can use one of their on line coupons for get 40% off. They are on sale this week for 50% off.

Here is the 40% off coupon you can use for something else. http://www.hobbylobby.com/weekly/weekly.cfm?page=2

Great idea and a nice way to display your collection - both protecting them from dust and enquiring fingers.

John that is a great looking
truck, who makes that model?
Thanks for all the feedback, I never saw any
of those display bases at Michael's or Hobby Lobby I'll have to keep a sharp eye out for them.
