Seems a new car has arrived on the Hard Knox Valley RR from the Hudson Highlands road. Here you can see it on the tail end of the Upper Valley local being pulled by BAR #84 as the train passes through Dougtown.

Here we see the Upper Vally local as it passes the Maeville local on it's way to spots a couple of cars.

Next are a couple of shots as the BAR struggles to push the train up the grade to Upper Valley. What a day to have the camera with me!

Here the Hudson Highlands car has been spotted at a new construction site in Upper Valley.

And finally we see officers Speed and Trapp from railroad security ready (well, when they finish their donuts and coffee) to inspect the Hudson Highlands car for contraband and any unsavory characters who may have hitched a ride from Ohio. We don't mind sending our bad boys across the country but we sure don't need any more here in Hard Knox Valley.

And so the saga continues,

Dave

Nice to see the HH box car in Maine. I don't think there are any unsavory passengers in that box car.

I'll agree with the HH comments, but need to reserve judgment on the "unsavory characters" commentary. I understand these two could turn up anywhere....

Stay tuned....

News Flash! Two fellows named Preacher and Turtle have arrived in Colorado with some Maine potatoes. They were last seen heading for the Ye Ole Froth & Slosh bar in Wethersfield, CT. They must have jumped the train when they saw the sign. They have to be a couple of thirsty guys traveling all the way from Troy, Illinois. Stay tuned.

Howdy All,

Well I got back over to my buddy David Wentworth's layout the other night. Took a visiting colorful New Haven car along for some scenick shots on Dave's New England railroad.

By the way, I couldn't get the photos to post at first. Bill (NHguy) came to the rescue and now you can see them!! Thanks Bill!

Best, Andy Keeney

Look out for #1, but don't step in #2!

Andy, It's the '&' in the photo title it doesn't like. Remove it and they should work. Bill

Andy,

Nice shots! David's layout is always a treat. I'm surprised that you only got one shot on a bridge, though! It's "The Bridge Route!"

Hi Pete, since I took all the bridge shots last time, I intentionally tried to take some different location shots this time!!

Andy,

Your welcome. Those are some fine shot of my car on Dave's layout. With all the New England looking layouts I'm getting an idea of what mine should look like.

Oh, and I saw your layout in the OpSig Dispatcher's Report this quarter. I'm glad it went good for you. I'd like to get to one.

Hi All,
Thanks for the kind comments. I can't wait till I have some nice finished scenes on the Nashville but for now it is nice to be able to sneak over to Dave's and shoot away!!

Bill, we do have a great time on the ProTrak Weekends. They sure go by fast! Looks like Jim is planning on a tour of the Nashville in the ezine for the fall of 2010. Good reason to get the fire lit under the scenery manager's butt!!
