FIRST CALL!!!
We are now organizing the 2009 Rolling Stock Interchange Program, and this is the "Official" first call for those interested in participating.
For those not familiar with the program, participants send one of their pieces of HO rolling stock 'on the road' to fellow participants, and receive other rolling stock in return throughout the year. At the end of the cycle, each participant receives their own car back, with quite a bit of mileage on it! As the cars arrive at their various locations, participants post photos of the visiting rolling stock on their layouts, dioramas, or even on club layouts or friends layouts. Photos of previous interchanges can be found in the "Interchange Tracks" at this link: http://www.railroad-line.com/forum/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=77
For a look at the 'rules' of the Interchange Program, just follow this link: http://www.railroad-line.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=8574
If you are interested in joining the program, just respond to this thread. Once we give the "Final Call" for the program, we will develop the list showing how the cars will circulate among the participants.
I have participated in the program from the beginning, and it is always neat to see pictures of my rolling stock as it stops along its travels!

Hi Bruce, count us in again. Crispy had a blast watching the now famous CNW box car make the rounds last year. Not sure which one of the 3 of us will submit the car, but there will be one from Central Illinois for sure.

Simon, you and/or one of the boys are very welcome once again.
I'll be sending a car along, too. I better get one off the stack of kits and get it ready for the road.

So if I marked up in the Crew Lounge, do I have to mark up here, too?

Pete, you can sign up either place - or both if you want to be doubly sure.

To those of you who will be continuing on with the Interchange, and to those new to the program, . . I wish you well during this coming year. Although I have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the 'shared' action over the last several years, I recently made the decision to return to school to pursue some post- graduate research. Included in the program are two courses held during 2009-10. So my forum time will be somewhat limited. I will certainly miss this year's Interchange, but I definitely plan on visiting from time to time to catch up on the stories and photos. Here's to a great year!

Allen,
School is a Good Thing! Go for it! Check in every now and then and let us know how things are going.
For those not familiar with Graduate School, think "eat, sleep, study." Period. Allen is gonna be Busy....

Kris,
Not this year. If I get my act together, I might have some to interchange by next year (or sooner).
