Has anyone experienced a problem with this advertiser?
My son ordered a HO Rabbit Hash General store for me for my birthday around the 1st of May. I was going to build it for the challenge.
No kit delivered, they won't respond to emails inquiring about the order and won't take out of area calls according to their answering machine.

They haven't debited his account yet, but
one is left hanging and not able to purchase elsewhere for fear of them filling the order and now you have 2 kits.

I find this unacceptable conduct.

Dick, I was contacted via email by this company in January concerning building a test kit that they were thinking about doing. I responded that I would be interested, but I never heard from them again. I know John (Bbags)(in Alaska this week) has had contact with them with good response, but that was some time back... I guess some people are better with customer service than others. Danny

Dick,

I have never dealt with them, but if you have their phone number I would suggest you call them. Sometimes people don't pay much attention to their computers.

Tim,
I did call them. As I said, they have a machine and state that they will not return "out of area calls".

That makes no sense at all for an internet sales co. and certainly not in keeping with the customer sevice of others who advertise here.

I notified Joe this morning about the complaint. He in turn has forwarded the link to this discussion to the proprietor of MPP. I can't guarantee there will be a response, but Joe did make the effort to contact the sponsor.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm a busy man. I have a railroad to run.

Hi Guys:

I ordered a Quinnimont Cabin station by this Mfg. from Walthers several weeks ago. I was back ordered and I haven't heard a word about it since.

Dick,

Sorry I misunderstood, I thought you contacted via email or their site contact.
I hope it works out for you soon.

I 'almost' started a thread based around "what do you consider a craftsman kit" type theme when it was announced that this co. would be at CSS08 on THE podcast. I had gone to the website ( www.mpp-models.com) to check out this craftsman kit supplier, after perusing the website and finding pictures like this ....http://www.mpp-models.com/300/301front1.jpg .... I wondered why they were going to be there to be frank, to me craftsman kit is this ... http://www.sierrawestscalemodels.com/ckits/205/Q017.JPG not this .... http://www.mpp-models.com/500/501rear.jpg .

Just because its made of wood doesnt make it craftsman.... IMO ... but hey what do I know? I'm just beginning on this fantastic journey. I'll stop typing now before I dig an inevitably big hole for myself.

Just my thoughts,

Karl.A

I agree with you, Karl. A model kit does not rate as a craftsman kit. Model kits can be quite good but for the most part they use simple construction. Craftsman kits require a bit more skill and technique. (sometimes a lot more!)

No room to tolerate sloppy customer relations in this day and age.

That's what I think.

This is a good reminder to anything that you order online from a new or established company:

o check availability

o check delivery time

o then order

Don't order blind without answering the questions, because there is a website should not change your buying habits.

Specific to new vendors, check with guys like Pat at valleymodeltrains, if they have the item, it probably is a good vendor.

I have no idea about MPP, but from a manufactureres POV, like me who is a one man operation, things can get overwhelming. Especially if you are working a full time job then slaving to make MRR stuff after hours. I always check my emails and respond to them ASAP, well, that's after deleting all of the " how to grow bigger to please your woman by purchasing Autocad and getting a degree without having to study" emails. Not responding in any way is not acceptable.

Hopefully for MPP sake they are just behind and trying to get caught up. Otherwise, I'd hate to be them after hearing the responses here. The customer pool is limited and there are plenty of other manufactureres who are more than happy to snag up a few new ones.

BTW, if you want to talk bad about me, email me first. I'll respond.
