"Build a model in 2 months Challenge"
The following is a proposal for another Challenge here on Railroad-Line. You will have 2 months starting May 1st and ending June 30th to build at least one model. This can either be a kit, a scratch build, or a kit bash.
I know most have a fair selection of kits just sitting there on the shelf crying out "Build Me"
The rules are simple.
Post a picture of what you are building. The kit itself, a set of plans or a picture for a scratch build, or the kit/kits that you will be kit bashing. Please make this a fresh start and not the completion of a kit your are currently building. If you choose a kit with multiple structures then you only have to build one to participate.
The kit can be either a structure, a piece of rolling stock, a vehicle or anything else that would be appropriate for a model railroad.
Any scale is acceptable and welcome.
No diorama, figures or details need be included in the final pictures except those that come with the kit. You can just post a picture of the results sitting on a piece of cardboard if you wish. Of course you are free to add any details you would like since it is your Challenge.
I will post the thread for this Challenge in the Craftsman's Corner since that forum is not scale specific but all members are encouraged to participate. There will be 2 threads posted one for construction photos and also where members can comment and ask questions and a second thread where only final pictures will be allowed without comments.
For those who are participating in the shoe box challenge this is a natural since I would assume that you will be building a structure or some rolling stock.
So look around and see what you can build. Maybe a Plasticville structure, a box car or that outhouse kit that has been sitting on the shelf forever. Why you could even build a bridge to nowhere.
You will have until April 30th or later to decide what you would like to built and at that time the 2 threads mentioned earlier will be posted.
Hopefully this Challenge will motivate many to participate as I am sure all of you can find something that you need or want that you could build.
See you again on April 30th.

One thing I forgot to add is that there is no limit on the number of models you may build. So for those who work fast you may post as many different models as you build as long as you post them using the above rules.
Questions, comments or what you might build are welcome here.

I'm in but I won't be able to post a before pick as it will be a scratchbuild of a "critter" that would have been "home shopped" with whatever was laying around. Hope that is O.K. John.

This is a great idea! There is a few kits I could build that have been on the back burner for a while now.

OK, I'm in! I've got to start building kits and scratch build a few stations for my railroad anyway.

Welcome to the forum BCfan and it's nice to see you joining in.
John,
As for me, I am in. My plan is to build some GHQ models. A manure spreader for all the Sh?? I sling around... Forklift, and maybe a surprise one. I am looking forward to joining in.

This is just a reminder that the official construction thread will be posted sometime tomorrow. This is your free day since the goal is to finish a model in 2 months the construction thread will be locked on June 30th.
Thanks to all who have indicated that they plan to participate and I am also glad to see some new faces including one who joined the forum yesterday (bcfan1064) just to participate.
So as they say in car racing.
