Good evening master craftsmen,
It sure has cooled down this week and tomorrow's forecast is a high in the 60's. Harvest is starting to get underway here in the northwest Indiana, and from what I hear the crops are pretty good.
Tonight we built a fire outside and had dogs and brats. mmmmmmm pretty tasty. Its time to sit down and grab a Dutchman and do a little reading and visit some forum topics. Not sure what is on tap for the weekend yet, but come on in and pull up a chair. DVD's are in the cabinet and I am thinking about starting a fire.
Enjoy your evening.

Hey, Tim...
Happy Friday to ya! Just finished some ice cream, but no MRRing tonight. I've been having problems with my eyes getting itchy, watery, and puffy. Probably because of spores or something coming in on the cats and getting onto me. Tomorrow I have to pick up some glue from a hobby-type shop and hope to get some things done. Well, gonna get some more eye drops. See ya later.

Good evening, Tim, Russ, and all.
Well, I'm back home in the Ozarks for the weekend and just happier than a pig in mud because of it.
I'm not sure what's on the slate for the weekend either. I had several possible projects (honey-do types) under consideration, but the weather is supposed to be cloudy all day with increasing chances of rain. So I may not get to any of them. Darn! I mean, what's the point of starting something if I have to quit in the middle because of inclement weather? hehe
I've got a bag full of new magazines. I could get back to work on my Houligan's Alley project, but I think I'll get started on my reading instead. Besides.... I've got some wine I want to sip on this evening. Reading is safer than model building under those circumstances.
Have a good evening, all.

Good evening, Tim, Russ, and the rest of the crew. Yup, the cool weather has arrived. I took the window AC units out today, had my last wheat beer, and have delcared summer over.
I did get a little time to work on the Pickle Works. Hopefully I will have some time this weekend to work on it as well. However, I think that Bonnie might have other ideas for my 'free' time. She wants to go TV hunting.
Enjoy the rest of the evening.

Hey Mike, by the way I met a old aquintence of yours a couple weeks ago, we were camping and Allan from Portland came and we had a visit and BBQ. He and his wife are very nice people and in our conversation he said you two had met. Allan is quite the cook, he brought Kutunka and grilled it..real tasty for sure!! Well the weather here in Oregon is back to great today, bright sun and got a few chores done around here getting ready for the winter that is not to far off..also managed a trip to the hobby shop, gotta be desperate cause it's a 140 mile trip, but at least they had the stuff I needed for once. Well gotta get back to the bench and my engine house project, have a good one all..Jerry

Jerry, my wife and I met Allan and Beth a couple of years ago for breakfast. They were staying with some old friends who also live here on the Lake of the Ozarks, so we were able to get together one Saturday morning. It was a very enjoyable two or three hours.

Howdy fellers! Man ain't this cool fall weather great! Man I'm eat'n it up. Me and the Mrs just returned from an enjoy-full dinner at jimmies diner(50's theme). This weekend is all up for grabs here, I have plenty to do split firewood but the power splitter rents for $75 for two hours that seems too steep for me considering thats what a rick of seasoned fire wood goes for. No savings there, time for manual labor yuck... Modeling hopefully. I picked up one of those Walthers 75 ton HO cranes today @ the LHS for bashing when I finish other projects. Well y'all time to cruise the forum Y'all have a Good'n !

Greeting from autumnal mid Michigan, temps cool and weather changed about 4 times during daylight hours today, sunny and totally clear at daybreak, clouded up by 0830 then came a spell of heavy rain around 11 am and then sunny and puffy clouds mid day to 4 or so then dark and windy until dark. Tomorrow is to be cold.
Just returned from the basement, detail painting on my RSD-15 fleet and painting LPP crew men for their cabs. Lot more to do. Joy of not modeling a prototype road and being able to buy RTR.
Tomorrow and I are off to Indiana for a craft show in Ft. Wayne and a possiblity to visit to Hobbyland about a mile away. Also some friends are going to be there, too. Hope teh sun forecast shows up as it will be cool.
Not much else happening here, is on the laptop working on geneology. Spends a lot of time lookin for dead people.
Everyone have a good night and weekend. Maybe i'll have one of Bruce's Brews and chill out.
BTW Bruce you mentioned TV shopping, I just bought a Samsung 32" HDTV and am blown away by the HD pictures. Watched the last NASCAR race and you can read the decals on the fenders. Dog gone things are pricy compared to what I've ever paid before, tho.
BE SAFE!!!

Karl,
We've actually been looking at HDTV's for over a year now. The technology keeps improving, but I figure we can't wait forever.
Right now we are leaning toward a 40" Samsung.

Bruce,
Go for the Sony 40" LCD with the full 1080 HD...make sure you check that one out. I had it nailed down to the Samsung and the Sony...viewed them side by side off the same feed, they were around the same price in my neck of the woods and I ended up going with the Sony...be sure to check em both out.

WOW... Fall is in the air ... love it! It's cooler in the mornings now when I leave for work (4:45 AM) and almost to the point a fall jacket wouldn't be a bad idea. Hoping to start winding up spiking down the balance of the new rail and then lokking forward to sitting down and finishing up my Rubbles Depot. Peter
