Arrived in Portland on Tuesday. Had to leave Thursday noontime . Had guests from Hamilton, Ontario to play host to. Wish I had more time .

I didn't get to meet many of the forum members. Met Nicky O, and the ever popular Mario.
Early Wednesday morning, I was able to take photos of some vendors and the dioramas on display. Will be posting pics as I can.

Thank you Bill for the pîctures.
The trestle near Mario seems quite huge.
And the small loco of the SR&RL is a beauty.

Great photos Mr Bill,

Still quite a bit of equipment that survives from that long ago era.

Where were the SR&RL photos taken? Is that someplace nearby Portland ME?

Looking forward to whatever else you may be posting from the convention.

From the few bits I've seen posted, on various convention topics, it seems like the RR-L crew did not have much success convening as a group anywhere. I was hoping to see a few group shots or something.

Hi Stevie O

This railroad is in the boondocks. About a 2.5 hrs NW of Portland. It is located in Phillips,ME
Rte95 to Rte 4(2 lane highway) You don't make good time because of the locals who seem to want to drive 10 under the speed limit

As far as seeing members of the RR-line, it was a challenge. Most I guess, were doing there own thing. I posted a note on the bulliten board to meet at Scotty's table on Thursday AM. No takers

We seems to be more organized for a group photo at the Craftsman Show in November, so be patient.
we will get a group photo or two.

Bill,

Once again, excellent pictures of a really good diorama. Very nice collection of heavily weathered, waterfront structures, with nice details and that neat S-curved NG track through the center. The only detraction is the modeling of the rope along the front pilings, (easily fixed that).

That would make an excellent kit along the lines of Sierra West or Fine Scale Miniatures.

This is the rest of the dioramas at the convention. I'm sure that there were more, but I had to leave Thursday afternoon. My apologies to Don Reed. I was hoping to get some photos of his diorama.
