Well, the box of Tichey rivets arrived today while Joe T, myself, and Hueber were railfanning.

Jens, did you get my request to e mail me the isometric drawing of the front tower. I would like to start assembling it, but I want to be clear how things are attached.

You might check your mailbox.

How was your yesterdays journey? With how
many new projects did you return?

Yesterdays journey was fantastic. We really got a lot of shots of the asphalt plant. No new projects were discovered, but we took additional pics of Rockhill and found you messed up! Only kidding, we took pics of the other side that we never took before.

I'm not sure I have what you're looking for Jens , but these are the only detail shots of the front , from different angles .

Terry,

I hoped you may have photos showing details of the Ore hopper and the Larry car.

Ralph, Terry,
any questions or comments on the templates I sent you this morning? I will leave in an hour or so...

2. Rear Tower

There is no need to tell long stories this time. The rear tower is almost identical to the front tower. Construction is the same, only the curved parts differ.

Front and rear tower side by side

Terry, unfortunately I am now away from home - I am at my girlfriends computer - and later I am at work for the whole week. Maybe Ralph can forward the templates for the rear tower?

Fine work, Jens! I thought the 800 rivets I used on my fan house was crazy. I think you will blow by that number, easily, if you haven't already. Those rivets really make a difference.

Waddya think Ralph ....should Jens be allowed to "see his girlfriend " ? I'm leaning towards grounding him until we get this Hulett done . Work comes first , THEN recreation . Maybe we should have a talk with her mother .Jens has homework to do , chores to do , his bedroom to tidy up ....Hmmm ...

Terry, No way. What are his priorities? Womanizing or modeling? Jens. Get with the program and please leave Marion alone. You've got modeling to do my friend!

I got this far before my neck started hurting from putting all those rivets on.

My big mistake was putting the box of rivets over too far. Oh well, next time.

Thanks for the template , Ralph .

One area I'm wondering about regarding the rear part of the back leg can be illustrated in a photo of Mike Rabbit's drawing .

The back part of the rear leg is "kicked up " somewhat and helps give the Hulett a "forward rake " stance ( back end higher than the front )
I'm wondering if we should consider this in our model .

Your welcome. I will have to wait till I get my drawings to comment on that.

Here is how far I got. I'm done! I will finish this during the week. Next weekend I'm working on the layout because Rich W is coming over. I have spent way to much time at my bench. Time to get trains running again.
