I need help in planning my new 0n30 layout.
I have in mind something in the 6-7 feet wide and 14-16 feet long. All sides being accessible!
The complication is that I want to be able to lift the entire layout to the ceiling when not in use.
My idea is to use a system of pulleys, cable and a winch to raise and lower the layout.
As long as I donít go over about 24-30 inches in height (buildings and scenery) it will still leave about 7-8 feet of headroom under the layout when raised.
As you can tell, this will be a challenge.

What type of framework should I use that is light and strong?
What type of sheeting should I use (plywood, foam, insulation board or some combination)?

The theme will be early 1900ís and mining and lumber operation is what I have in mind.
I want to have a t least one continuous loop and a reversing loop and maybe a folded dog bone.

Iíve several designs that some of you have posted so I know the talent is out there just waiting for a REAL challengeÖ well, here it is!

Anyone out here with pictures to share? Please send them; -

Thanks in advance,

Chuck
