here is a real jewel that still is in operation at the Museum in wichita Ks they use it to move the ATSF #3786 4884 Northen with its tender (half full of fuel) along with a smooth side baggage car a tank car and a CB&Q caboose all in the same consist! It is a 1934 model gasoline powered motor rated at174HP. With a blazing speed of 10mph. The Whitcomb saw its last service at the Mobil refinery in Augusta Ks and now resides At the greatplains transportation Museum.

This last pic is an electic locomotive powered by a cantilever on a pole to power the traction motors inside the trucks. Concrete was poured on the platform to add wieght when pushing or pulling cars it was brought into service in 1913 for KG&E and was donated to the same museum mentioned before.

Your welcome! the whitcomb was next to the fence and the other side was BNSF proper so you know the rules there. its amazeing how a critter that small has that much tractive effort.I posted all of the critters here in On3O forum due to the modeling of the subject. glad I could help. the yard is a mess due to BNSF is replaceing and updateing the spur leading into and all the rail in the museum therefore the porta potty is there. enjoy
