Posted - 02/22/2011 : 12:53:44 PM Now I'm busy with the last steps for a first train run. The line is opened from Salina to Silver Creek already:

But I have still to build the extension for the staging yard Fiddletown. This is my current Fiddletown:

And with extension it has three segments of 70cm each.

And this will be the layout plan for the next time.

It's scratch built. I've go the idea from an ad in the Gazette by Mt.Albert Scale Models. They sell this in 0 Scale only.

Like the caboose, building 1 now and yours turned out really nice. |

Posted - 01/06/2012 : 6:11:23 PM Very nice looking caboose, Wolfgang. I like the way you placed the camera among the passengers in the video - very creative.

Posted - 01/06/2012 : 1:01:02 PM Wolfgang. You did a nice job on the ladders and railings.I found them difficult to separate from the sprues, then restraighten. I also had a bad can of Floquil spray paint that has ruined the finish. It went on with a finish like sandpaper. Not sure what to do here as it will be nearly impossible to letter. BILL in Idaho |

Posted - 01/06/2012 : 12:46:11 PM Nicely done, Wolfgang. I'll look forward to the LaBelle RPO. |

Posted - 01/06/2012 : 12:43:14 PM No, there's no interior. I've glued the roof to the body. Only I've painted the walls inside some greenish color.
Here's the finished caboose, ready for service.

It was fun to build and "solve those problems". Next project is a LaBelle RPO kit.

Posted - 01/01/2012 : 2:44:41 PM Wolfgang,
Thanks for another fun video. I've set aside the small projects recently to concentrate on designing and building my layout. I figure they can fill the voids while I work on the new layout. I will be posting the trackplan for my office very soon...I hope! |
