Hi all!

I'm building my layout again after the summer months.
The town of Holy cross on my HOn3 layout is slowly taking shape.
But, I realised that the station took up too much real estate.
I therefore decided to move it to the Isle side of the rails.

The space was a bit narrow though. So, I decided to cut the building in half lengthwise.

That makes it possible to see the interior of it and make it a bit of a show point.

The starting point was an Atlas station.
I cut it in half and used the remaining pieces to make the interior walls.
The cut was painted red to highlight it.
What do you think?

I've never been able to get a clean straight cut on my band saw :-(

I second that, I too have cut plastic models with a band-saw.

Michael just a tip, I've used a band saw with a fine blade to cut model boxcars and structures. The band saw does a nice clean and straight job.

I like it a lot, and you did a fantastic job of it! I've always liked the idea of an open sided structure along the layout fascia for people to view the interior. I've wanted to build the Callahan's See Through Garage Build that PostalKarl did.

Awesome Idea Graffen and excellent execution!

Now you need to do half a desk with the drawers shown cut away.

Great work! I like the red cross sectioning as well.

Michael, Looks great. Now get busy filling it with all kinds of details.
