Starting another new structure for the addition:
The Gas Station at shady grove. it's pretty small, only about 2 X 3" including the canopy. I was originally going to change the station's name but then I found that Texaco was in Canada so I guess I can keep it.

Nice work on the trucks. With the flat bed added to the tow truck, there's room for tools and extra parts. Good job!

Looks like its coming along quite well.

I finished off the tow truck last evening
I built it as though it was a flatdeck truck that had a home built tow rig attached to it.
And I found a Texaco tanker truck from the gas station and earl's oil. I found it on ebay. Both Mini Metals and Johnny Lightning sell it, but the Johnny Lightning version was quite a bit cheaper. I sprayed a bit of polly-s grimey black and dirt on it and its good to go on the layout.

The pumps look just like the ones I used to pump gas from as a kid hanging out at the corner gas station.
Love the truck.

I've been working a bit on my tow truck kitbash.
I built up the ford Model aa truck as per the instructions up to the installation of the tank. I added the crossbraces to the rear frame using sale 4X4
Then I scratch built the tow assembly from styrene. I probably over-engineered it but I wanted something that would be believable.

I finished up the gas pumps and installed them at the station.
I painted the sides to match the red and green of the gas station trim colors. The kit also comes with a laser cut pump island but I didn't need it.
Rob, I have been following with your truck build in the challenge thread, sorry I haven't commented until now. It's a very nice build. Thanks for the link to Chester's work. I hope I can live up to his standards with my truck.

The gas pump kit looks interesting, Glen. I'm looking forward to seeing them built up.

Looking very good, Glen. I'm interested in seeing how you make up the gas pumps.

I'm with Rob. I'm looking forward to seeing the progress on the tow truck.

Hi Glen. I really like it. Nice set of structures, and well modeled by you.
The building being painted will make a nice mini-scene. I've seen this done before, and with the right figures it'll come out great.
Look forward to seeing what you do with the truck as I've just kit-bashed a die-cast truck as part of the Challenge thread.
Here's a thread to a tow truck that Chester did.
Might give you some ideas.

I finally got the gas pumps I wanted for the station
Interaction Hobbies just released this gas pump kit. They were originally available with their gas station kit but now you can get them separately.
They're pretty straightforward mostly some painting and layering of parts to get a proper 3-d effect. A couple hours and they should be done.
I also started on a tow truck for the garage.
It is a Jordan 1929 Ford aa tank truck that I'm attempting to kitbash into a tow truck.
