I know I promised some better photos, I had hoped to take the photos outside but the weather just has not cooperated, still gloomy. Here's what I have anyway.

Posted - 11/22/2020 : 08:53:06 AM Bob, The wagon looks great, and very real with all those little details! I've bookmarked your pics of the undercarriage and its parts, for reference.
JGDURAND, I suspect it's just the camera playing tricks, making the red appear brighter than it really is. |

Posted - 11/22/2020 : 05:05:14 AM JGDURAND, thanks for your comment but no, I do not think the red is too bright. I have seen many photos and paintings of these old wagons and it seems that the wheels and undercarriage, especially the wagons with advertising on them, are all kinds of bright colors like red. white, yellow, cream, etc. and usually kept clean and polished too. |

I am in the finishing up stage right now. An all over clear coat sprayed on to tie everything together and the addition of chains at the tailgate and between the brake handle and the brake lever.
Hope to have a last photo later this afternoon.
Also, this volume is getting close to that 100 page limit ? so I have started vol. 5 at http://www.railroad-line.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=53367 |

I still have work to do but here's how the wagon looks with some paint on it. More to come.

I can make pinstripe decals in any color but white since I lost my ALPS printer. This is a poor try at it as a workaround. I have since thought of ways to improve it but it does look better than my photograph shows.
