Well Guys because of the cost of this wonderful logging diorama made by BTS I'm forced to try and build it myself. Everything thing you see has been scratchbuilt, it's only in its early stages but wanted to let you know what I've been doing. I'm not thrilled with the color yet but will play with it some more. Well here's the pics.

I really like the brick color of your Rockys tavern. Can I ask what colour and what brand of paint it was?

Mark, thanks for the compliment. Unfortunately I can't remember what I used for this but if I had to guess I would say it was rustoleum primer. Then I think I used a brick mortar that came in a small tub. Robert's Brick Mortar |

Posted - 12/12/2008 : 07:45:04 AM Hauk, I appreciate the nice words and can really only tell you I bought the mold for this in a local hobby shop several years ago in a plain clear plastic bag, I believe it is one of Dave Frary's molds, and I do like the look of the wall I chose not to use it in this application, the stones were just too big in my opinion and one who shall remain nameless, so when I do place it on the layout I will use a mold I bought not too long ago with a much better scale. Posted - 03/11/2006 : 07:49:42 AM I came here when I was 9 with my Mom and Pop, he was lured here by the promise of a better life. I came but kicking and screaming even ran away from home, but here we are. Leaving ones friends behind at age 9 was very very devistating but have made a good home and a good living but have only seen my family 5 times in 35 years. Thanks for the compliment on the mill and you would not want me to write in Vlaamse because you could probably not recognize it. Kind of rude to our hosts as well. We can throw in a few words here and there just to keep things suspicious, Pat. |

Posted - 02/01/2006 : 3:36:19 PM Pat, are you still making progress? I haven't done much on the mill but I did just make the band saw! Right now I'm into the smaller projects.

I also did the saw for the Twin Mills: http://www.railroad-line.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=4895&whichpage=13

And the Woodland Scenics small saw mill which I haven't painted or weathered yet.

All in the last three days.

Posted - 04/18/2005 : 6:48:53 PM Chuck the molds are all detail parts for junk and barrels and you name it. I think I will paint the inset brick a different color for some contrast. Rick thats kind of like that tarpaper patch thing right??? Since Chuck has already shown what its for I don't have to address that one, but Chuck do you find these woodland scenic kits slightly undersized or maybe its because my mill is so large?? Pat |
